Spend 23 days fully immersed in a 2000-year-old city in the heart of Provence this winter in the study abroad courses Accelerated Elementary French I & II. The program will feature city walks, excursions to museums, Marseille and state parks, and review groups with a tutor. In addition, students live with French families to maximize immersion and learning. This program provides a quick way to become proficient in French.
The program will be led by Brigitte Philippe, a linguist with over 15 years of teaching experience both in France and in the US, and Carole Allamand, an associate professor in the French Department and native speaker of French with close to 30 years of experience teaching French language and literature.
This is the only language study abroad program at Rutgers open to students with little or no prior experience in French.
